HTC slashes the price of the HTC U Ultra, even bundles in a free RE camera

HTC has once again slashed the price of the HTC U Ultra, and they’re also bundling in the HTC RE camera with each purchase.

The device previously launched at RM2,999 earlier this year, but the brand once again reduced the price of the phone down a further RM400 a few months later down to RM2,599.

Now, the HTC U Ultra is set to retail at RM1,999, a thousand ringgit off from its original launch pricing. Those who purchase it will also be entitled to a free RE Camera bundled in with the deal.

Under the hood, the HTC U Ultra is home to a Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Aside from that, you’re also getting a massive 5.7-inch Quad HD Super LCD5 display up front with a secondary ticker display that pushes 1040×160 pixels and can be used for shortcuts and notifications.

For photos, you get a 12-megapixel f/1.8 aperture camera with large 1.55 micron pixels while a 16MP selfie shooter sits in front for all your selfie needs.

Keeping the lights on is a 3,000 mAh battery with support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology. Capacity is a little small for a phone of this size as many of its phablet rivals clock in capacities of over 3,000 mAh.

The new pricing is in effect starting today, so if you’ve been wanting to pick up the HTC U Ultra, here’s your chance.

But if you don’t want the HTC RE camera, DirectD is now offering the HTC U Ultra for RM1,799.
