Meizu Pro 7 MediaTek X30

MediaTek’s new Helio X30 processor was suppose to elevate its game into the flagship smartphone segment. With 10 cores and based on a 10nm fabrication process, the Helio X30 was meant to compete with Qualcomm’s top of the line Snapdragon 835 processor.

Unfortunately, months have passed and most smartphone brands have opted for Qualcomm’s flagship offering. Now it turns out that Chinese smartphone brand, Meizu is giving a shot at MediaTek’s top processor with its new upcoming flagship, the Pro 7. Apart from having dual-cameras, the new Meizu Pro 7 also comes with a dual-screen design which is different from what’s available at the moment.

The new Meizu has a secondary display at the back which is located on the left edge of the device. It offers a colour display which can be used to show dedicated apps and perhaps notification while the phone is placed facing downwards. This is kinda like a mixture between YotaPhone and Samsung’s original Galaxy Note Edge. It also comes with a dual-camera system at the rear which is said to be using two 12MP sensors from Sony while the front comes with a 16MP camera.

The Meizu Pro 7 is said to come in two sizes, a normal 5.2-incher and a larger 5.5 or 5.7-incher phablet. The approach is definitely refreshing but do you think this is a better placement for a secondary display? Let us know in the comments below.

The leaked renders are an exclusive scoop by CompareRaja in collaboration with @Onleaks.
