Samsung Galaxy Note8’s dual-camera setup caught on camera

There’s no surprise that the Samsung Galaxy Note8 will look like a slightly bigger version of the Galaxy S8+ with an S-Pen. However, its most anticipated feature is its new dual-camera system.

We’ve seen several leaked renders of the upcoming productivity phablet but now there’s an alleged photo of its rear camera set up.

From the picture above, the dual-camera sits horizontally and it shares the same glass panel with the LED flash and heart rate sensor. This matches BGR’s Note8 render but it is different from what we’ve seen earlier where the heart rate sensor and LED flash is placed independently.

Of course, this could just be a prototype but what’s certain is that the Note8 will have a fingerprint sensor at the rear like the Galaxy S8/S8+. Samsung originally plans to have an embedded in-screen fingerprint sensor but they had to scrap that due to brightness inconsistency.

Samsung has yet to reveal the Galaxy Note8 launch date and it should happen sometime in August/September. It is said that the new Note8 would come with a 6.3″ 18:9 Infinity Display and it will run on the same Exynos 8895 processor as the Galaxy S8 and it is mated to 6GB of RAM. Despite the increase in size, the new phablet is expected to come with a smaller 3,300mAh battery.
