Looking for super fast external storage options? Western Digital‘s (WD) got you covered as their new My Passport SSDs are finally coming to Malaysia.

Western Digital’s My Passport SSDs will come in three different storage options. The smallest capacity is 256GB and will be priced at RM579. You can double up the storage to 512GB for RM1,039 while the highest 1TB storage option will set you back RM2,099. All three drives come with a 3-year local manufacturer warranty.

The good news is that Western Digital will be holding an exclusive sale on Lazada for these My Passport portable SSDs. From now until the 6th of July 2017, if you purchase the 256GB option, you’ll get RM50 off while the 512GB and 1TB variants will net you a discount of RM100.

For those who are unfamiliar with the My Passport SSD, these are external portable SSD with transfer rates that are much faster than your traditional external hard disk. The My Passport, for example, boasts a transfer speed of up to 515 MB/s via a USB Type-C 3.1 gen 2 (10Gb/s) port. It’s also compatible with older Type A ports via an adapter. It’s also USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 compatible.

Besides that, the My Passport SSD also has internal and external protection. Your data is protected by built-in 256-bit AES Hardware Encryption with WD Security software while the SSD itself is built to withstand drops of up to 1.98m and also 1500G of force. These drives also come with WD Backup software.
