Yes is offering the Galaxy S8 from RM1,899 on contract

Still scouting for other Galaxy S8/S8+ offers on a contract? Apart from the usual big 4 telcos, Yes is also offering pre-orders for the Galaxy S8 flagship duo and you can collect it as early as 4th May.

Similar to other telcos, the Galaxy S8/S8+ from Yes also gets the same pre-order freebies (worth over RM900) and it’s also tied with a 24-month contract. You can pick either the Postpaid 88 plan which comes with 25GB 4G LTE data at RM88/month or Postpaid 128 at RM128/month that has 35GB of 4G LTE data.

Both plans come with unlimited calls and SMS but unfortunately, it’s limited to Yes to Yes numbers. Calls to other networks would cost 9 sen/minute while SMS are charged at 9 sen each.

Another factor to consider is coverage as Yes operates on a pure 4G LTE network. If you’re outside their coverage areas especially in remote towns or the entire state of Sarawak, there’s no backup 2G/3G domestic roaming network to fall back on. You can check out their coverage areas here.

Below are the Galaxy S8/S8+ bundled pricing on Yes excluding the 6% GST:

Samsung Galaxy S8

Postpaid 88 (Upfront RM412)- RM2,299
Postpaid 128 (Upfront RM699)- RM1,899

Samsung Galaxy S8+

Postpaid 88 (Upfront RM612)- RM2,499
Postpaid 128 (Upfront RM772) – RM2,299

Do note that Yes would require an upfront payment plus 1 month advance subscription fee during the sign up. Once you’ve pre-ordered, you can pick up your unit from your prefered Yes Store beginning 4th May 2017, a day before its official nationwide release. Similar to other telcos, this pre-order promotion is valid for 3 days only between 11-13 April 2017.

To recap, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are priced at RM3,299 and RM3,699 respectively. For Malaysia, both models are currently available in Midnight Black, Maple Gold and Orchid Gray.
