Uber is now rolling out in Alor Setar, Langkawi and Miri

Uber has been operating in Malaysia for 3 years now. To mark the occasion, the ride-sharing service is now rolling out in Alor Setar, Langkawi and Miri.

This new addition brings a total of 12 cities covered by Uber in Malaysia. For now, UberX is the only option available in these 3 new locations. Below are the estimated fares for each location.

With LIMA ’17 happening in Langkawi, Uber is offering 2 free rides worth RM10 each for new users with the promo code UBER2LIMA17. For existing users, you can get 2x RM5 off rides with the code ILOVELIMA17. These codes are valid from 21-25 March in Langkawi only.

Uber is also providing a 3rd anniversary promo by offering 33% off for your next 5 rides between 21 to 27 March 2017. Just enter the promo code UBER3RDBDAY under the payments section. Take note that the maximum discount is RM5 per ride.

For folks in the Klang Valley, Uber is offering UberEco rides in conjunction with Earth Hour that’s happening this Saturday between 8:30PM – 9:30PM. On 23-25 March, you can request a hybrid vehicle at the price of an UberX. A portion of your fare will be donated to WWF-Malaysia to support their forest conservation efforts. The UberEco rides will be available in the Klang Valley on Thursday-Friday 4-8PM and Saturday between 11AM-11PM.

If you haven’t tried Uber, the app is available on iOS and Android.
