This Apple Watch stand will excite the retro geek in you

The Apple Watch is easily one of the best smart watches around. It’s powerful, has a nice screen, great app support and, as of Series 2, waterproof. However, I still think it lacks a little bit of that cool factor.

Well, things look like they’re about to change with this Apple Watch charging stand. It basically turns your wearable into a mini Macintosh.

This little silicone stand and charging dock is called the Elago W3 stand and it’s designed to appeal to your inner retro geek. It had been designed to look like an old-school Macintosh with a floppy disk cutout and everything.

With the stand, your Apple Watch takes the place of the display. It’s not just for show, however, as there is a little cutout at the back for you to slot your charging puck in. It also supports Apple’s nightstand mode so you can use it as bedside clock. You can also remove your Watch straps to complete the Macintosh look.

Thanks to its simple design, the stand supports both 38mm and 42mm case sizes. It’s currently priced at USD14.99 (about RM67) and can be bought on Amazon.
