Remember the HTC Bolt? It’s a larger alternative to the HTC 10 that’s exclusive to US telco, Sprint. Now there’s an international version and it’s called the HTC 10 evo.
To recap on the specs, it looks like an HTC 10 but it gets a larger 5.5″ Quad HD display that gets Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, it runs on last year’s 2.0-GHz Snapdragon 810 processor that’s mated to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Storage is expandable via microSD up to 2TB.
In the imaging department, it gets a 16MP f/2.0 main camera with OIS while the front sports an 8MP selfie shooter. It does support 4K video recording with Hi-REs audio support.
A standout feature for the HTC 10 evo is a pair of HTC BoomSound Adaptive Audio earphones which connects via USB Type-C. For better protection against the elements, it also gets IP57 rated water resistance but HTC does not recommend submerging the device intentionally. It Powering the HTC 10 evo is a larger 3,200mAh battery (HTC 10: 3,000mAh) and it supports Quick Charge 2.0.
Despite having an older processor, the HTC 10 evo is running on Android 7.0 out of the box with its HTC Sense UI on top. There’s no word of its availability for our region but it should go on sale in the UK soon.
