The Huawei Mate 9 has finally landed in Malaysia with the retail price of RM2,699. If you prefer to get one on contract, Maxis is offering Huawei’s latest flagship from as low as RM72/month.

You can get the Mate 9 on the Maxis Zerolution program which lets you own the device with monthly instalments with RM0 upfront. On top of that, you can swap your Mate 9 to a newer device every year if you take up its Zerolution Upgrade program at RM44/month.

For added protection and to avoid unnecessary penalties during the exchange, they would also recommend a Device Protection plan at RM23/month extra. Below is the monthly device instalments (24-months) for the Mate 9 on Zerolution excluding the upgrade fee, device protection and subscription fee:

MaxisONE Plan 128 – RM102/month
MaxisONE Plan 158 – RM87/month
MaxisONE Plan 188 – RM72/month

If you don’t plan on upgrading every year, the Mate 9 is also available with their standard MaxisONE contract. It is actually much cheaper than Zerolution and the bundled pricing are as follows over 24 months:

MaxisONE Plan 128 – RM1,799
MaxisONE Plan 158 – RM1,399
MaxisONE Plan 188 – RM999

Do note that you’ll be required to pay 4 months subscription upfront as an advance payment, which will be rebated back to your monthly bill. So that’s equivalent of RM752 if you’re signing up on MaxisONE 188. Long-term customers may be eligible for an advance payment waiver and you may check for your eligibility through the Maxis Online Store or by calling them at 123.

As an added promotion, Maxis is also offering a free Huawei Watch if you get the Mate 9 with MaxisONE Plan 188. This is offered on the Maxis Online Store while stocks last. For more details, head over to their Huawei Mate 9 page.
