vivo V5 now official in Malaysia. 20MP front camera for perfect selfies

vivo is upping up its selfie game with a smartphone that has a 20MP selfie camera. Dubbed as the vivo V5, this will succeed its previous vivo V3 series that came with an 8MP selfie shooter.

Priced at RM1,299, the vivo V5 comes with mid-tier specs encased in a unibody metal body. The front carries a 5.5″ HD 720p IPS display and under the hood, it runs on a 64-bit Mediatek MT6750 processor, which is similar to the OPPO F1s. It also gets 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage which is expandable via microSD.

For the front, the vivo V5 gets a 20MP Sony IMX376 camera with an F/2.0 aperture that comes with soft light flash for better illumination. For a more flawless look for your selfies, it also gets a Face Beauty Mode 6.0 software enhancement. Meanwhile, the back gets a standard 13MP camera that comes with PDAF.

The vivo V5 is powered by a 3,000mAh battery that charges via a microUSB port. For a secure yet convenient unlocking, it also gets a fingerprint sensor at the front that unlocks in 0.2 seconds. Also included on board is a AK4376 HiFi DAC for better audio playback. Out of the box, it runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with a custom Funtouch 2.6 OS skin on top. This is also a dual-SIM device and it supports 4G LTE bands in both FDD-LTE and TDD-LTE.
