OnePlus could be launching a new flagship next week

Before the year is out, OnePlus is about to launch a new flagship that’s gonna be called the 3T. This is an minor update of the OnePlus 3 which is expected to launch on 14 November.

Ahead of its official reveal, Qualcomm has hinted that the next big thing from OnePlus will be running on their top of the line Snapdragon 821 processor. This offers a slight notch in performance over its current OnePlus 3 that runs on a Snapdragon 820 unit. The OnePlus 3 is already a stellar performer and it is interesting to see how much will it gain in real life.

In terms of specs, the rest of the OnePlus 3T is quite similar with 6GB RAM and 64GB of storage. Even the display is reported to retain a 5.5″ Optic AMOLED display that pushes full HD resolution. However, the camera could be seeing a new upgrade with a Sony IMX398 sensor that shoots in 16MP. This is the same sensor that’s fitted on the OPPO R9s which gets “Dual-Pixel” auto-focus.

We’ll find out for sure next week and hopefully, it would hit our market before the new year. The current OnePlus 3 is priced at RM1,888 but stocks are hard to come by. If you missed it, you can check out our OnePlus 3 review.
