The Galaxy Note7 is no more but you can get last year’s Galaxy Note5 at a reduced price. Originally launched at RM2,699, the Note5 is now officially priced at RM2,199.
To recap, the Galaxy Note5 is currently the next best alternative if you’re looking for a phablet with a productive stylus. It gets a 5.7″ Quad HD AMOLED display and it runs on an Exynos 7420 Octa-Core processor that’s mated to 4GB of RAM. For Malaysia, we are getting the 32GB storage model which isn’t expandable via microSD. This is a dual-SIM device with two nano-SIM slots.
It gets a rather snappy 16MP f/1.9 main camera along with a front-facing 5MP shooter. The battery is a 3,000mAh unit which charges via a traditional micro USB port. Unlike the Galaxy Note7, there’s no water resistance and the screen is a flat one without any curved edges. In terms of software, it currently runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Colour wise, the Note5 is available in Gold, White, Black, Silver and Pink.
