The honor 5A sees its official Malaysian launch, prices start from below RM600

Alongside the flagship honor 8, honor Malaysia has also officially launched their new honor 5A, rounding out the existing trilogy with the honor 5X and honor 5C.

The honor 5A is the most affordable device of the trio. It comes with a 5.5-inch HD 720p display with a Kirin 620 octa-core processor mated to 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD for up to 128GB of extra storage). The smartphone will also run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with EMUI 4.1 running on top. Keeping the device running is a 3,100 mAh battery.

In the camera department, the honor 5A sports a 13-megapixel primary shooter with an f/2.0 aperture lens. In front, a 8MP f/2.0 front camera takes care of selfies.

Unfortunately, the honor 5A will not come with a metal build like its other siblings, instead it gets a textured back.

The handset will support 4G LTE connectivity, 802.11b/g/n (2.4GHz) Wifi and Bluetooth 4.0. It also charges via a micro USB 2.0 port.

Honor’s new budget device is priced at RM599 for the black and white variants while the gold version is priced at RM629. The smartphone will go on sale on the 20th of September 2016 on Lazada, Vmall and DirectD.
