HTC 10 is officially priced at RM2,799 in Malaysia. Pre-orders now available.

UPDATE: It appears that the HTC 10 is now available in Malaysia with ready stocks.

The HTC 10 is finally hitting the Malaysian market. The HTC flagship focuses on craftsmanship with its metal unibody construction and it is also the world’s first smartphone to feature Optical Image Stabilisation on both front and rear cameras.

For the Malaysian market, the HTC 10 is priced at RM2,799 and it comes with 32GB of on-board storage. According to DirectD, the official HTC Malaysia set is now open for pre-orders and the first 100 customers will get a HTC Ice View case worth RM159 for free. Only 2 colours are available – Topaz Gold and Carbon Grey while stocks are expected to be available on 14 July 2016.

To recap on the specs, the HTC 10 gets a 5.2″ Quad HD Super LCD5 display and under the hood it runs on a Snapdragon 820 processor that’s mated to 4GB of RAM. If the 32GB storage isn’t enough, it is expandable with microSD up to 2TB.

For imaging, the main camera is a 12MP Ultrapixel 2 unit that gets f/1.8 lens, OIS, Laser AutoFocus and dual-LED flash. Meanwhile, the front gets a 5MP UltraSelfie camera that also packs f/1.8 lens, OIS and a 23mm focal length. The front stereo boomsound is no more, but the HTC 10 packs a re-engineered BoomSound HiFi edition which uses both earpiece and downfiring speakers for audio playback.

Keeping the lights on is a 3,000mAH battery and out of the box, it uses Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the latest version of Sense UI on top. It has USB Type-C with QuickCharge 3.0 which supposedly does 50% charge in 30 minutes. Apart from DirectD, Dynamics Distribution is also offering pre-orders for the HTC 10 on 11street.

So RM2,799 for an HTC flagship smartphone. Would you get this over a Galaxy S7/S7 edge? Let us know in the comments section down below.
