Huawei P9 Plus Malaysian price revealed

The Huawei P9 and P9 Lite are officially on sale in Malaysia since yesterday at RM2,099 and RM1,099 respectively. If you’re looking for something bigger with better specs, Malaysians would need to wait a little longer for the P9 Plus.

For those who are still holding on, the official price for the Huawei P9 Plus has been revealed in their product brochure.

The Huawei P9 Plus is going for RM2,599 which is higher than the premium variant (RM2,399) of the Huawei Mate 8. Compared to the current Huawei P9, the bigger P9 Plus gets a larger 5.5″ Full HD display and a higher capacity 3,400mAh battery. On top of that, the P9 Plus also gets an infrared blaster, a dual-speaker set up (treble and bass) and a front facing 8MP camera that has auto focus.

The Huawei P9 Plus also gets dual IC rapid charging, which is lacking on the 5.2″ P9 that settles for a standard 5V 2A charger. The rest of the hardware are similar with a Kirin 955 processor but it gets 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It also gets a pair of Leica co-engineered 12MP cameras at the rear and it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. So far there’s no word on its availability but it shouldn’t be too long before it hits the shelves. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can check out our hands-on with the Huawei P9 trio.
