The latest flavour of Android is finally rolling out for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. Users in South Korea have started receiving the update, which brings the 2015 flagship up to speed at Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
So far there’s no mention of its international roll out but we believe it shouldn’t take too long. Earlier a leaked Marshmallow schedule suggests that older models like the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4 will be updated sometime in March/April. Meanwhile, rival HTC had already rolled out Marshmallow update for its older One M8 and they are continuing to push the same update for the newer One M9.
Apart from the usual bug fixes, the new update brings a couple of new features as well. As seen earlier, the Galaxy S6 edge gets a couple of new tricks where you can add more widgets and toolbars that can be displayed on the edge of your screen. On top of that, there are some subtle tweaks on the UI and native apps. You can check out some Marshmallow screenshots over here.
