UPDATE: Lazada has changed their “what’s in the box” column to include the 4th generation Surface Pen.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is the ultimate tablet that can replace your laptop, which is now thinner, lighter and more powerful than ever. Targeted for November release, you can secure yours today by placing a pre-order on Lazada.
With our weakening Malaysian Ringgit, the Surface Pro 4 costs more than its predecessor from RM3,999. That’s more expensive than last year’s Surface Pro 3 that’s priced starting from RM2,729.
For Malaysia, we are getting the following models and they are priced as follows:
Intel Core M3 / 4GB RAM / 128GB Storage – RM 3,999
Intel Core i5 / 4GB RAM / 128GB Storage – RM 4,449
Intel Core i5 / 8GB RAM / 256GB Storage – RM 5,799
Intel Core i7 / 8GB RAM / 256GB Storage – RM 7,099
Intel Core i7 / 16GB RAM / 256GB Storage – RM 8,049
Intel Core i7 / 16GB RAM / 512GB Storage – RM 9,799
Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Type Cover – RM 529
Microsoft Surface Pen Dark Blue – RM 240
Despite its more expensive price tag, the Surface Pen is strangely omitted, which was previously a standard bundle on the Surface Pro 3. The new Surface Pro 4 Type Cover is available in only Black and Blue, without a fingerprint scanner. You can read more about the Surface Pro 4 in our announcement post.
In comparison with the US pricing, Microsoft Malaysia is selling the Surface Pro 4 higher than anticipated. At US$899, the base model should cost RM3,794 (RM4.22) but it looks like they have marked up the price to buffer any possible changes. That’s quite a lot to pay for a tablet that comes with no keyboard included.
If you prefer to get it on ground, retailers such as Harvey Norman, All IT Hypermarket, PC Image, Senheng, SenQ, SNS Network, Thunder Match Technology, Viewnet and Microsoft KLCC Store will start accepting pre-orders on 26th October. The Surface Pro 4 stocks will ship out staring from 19th November on wards. If you pre-order now, Microsoft is throwing in an exclusive Premium Leather Sleeve and Screen Cleaning Pad while stocks last.
To pre-order, head over to Lazada’s Surface Pro 4 page.
