The rumour mill has been circulating, thanks to the the European mobile insiders saying that the latest iPhone will be available for sale on September the 18th – 9 days after their keynote supposedly on the 9th, which is in-line with Apple’s habits of starting sales two Fridays following the keynote.
If this holds water, two big German carriers have been rumoured to prep their own grand launch of the said iPhone(s). Comparable to the United States, the Germans have also been lucky to one of the first few to get their hands on the much beloved Apple mobile device. Since Apple puts Malaysia as low priority, expect a few months wait for its official release. For those who are willing to throw a crazy amount for the latest, there’s always a grey importer that are offering the device at a premium. For the last iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, it took them about 2 months to reach Malaysia since its official announcement.
Like past iPhones, the “S” model is a mere incremental update and it shares the same exterior design as the current model. Apart from having iOS 9 out of the box, the new iPhone(s) will get ForceTouch on board its Retina Display, as well as a new processing chip. The camera is expected to get a bump to 12-megapixels, which is a first upgrade from 8MP since the iPhone 4S.
A month’s off the aforementioned date, we’ve got a decent amount of waiting to do, so tell us what else you’d want to see on the new iPhone.
