Can you handle 3 versions of the OnePlus 2?

Less than 24 hours away from the OnePlus 2 grand VR revealing that is scheduled to be streamed at 10:00 AM (GMT+8), conflicting AnTuTu scores pose many to assume that there may be 3 versions of the “2016 Flagship Killer”. Pretty bold claims from the Chinese outfit, seeing that it is only the beginning of Q3 for 2015.

Updates on the AnTuTu benchmarks proves some promising news on purported 3 variants of the OnePlus 2. Having earlier showing up on the same benchmarks with 2 other scores: 51,460 and chart-topping 63,700 for the heating-riddled Snapdragon 810. The latest scores however port at 49,221, which leads to speculation that there are more than 1 model to be released tomorrow.

Part 1

Part 2

The same AnTuTu scores exhibit different specifications, when looking at the resolution of the screen(s) – further fuelling us to believe that OnePlus may indeed launch a lower-spec model that is supposed to have a 1080 x 1920 resolution screen. TENAA’s certification, on the other hand, states that the same 5.5-inch screen will push a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution.

So far, it isn’t quite far-fetched to conclude the validity of the leaks as yet another benchmark test, the GFX Bench affirmed the amount of RAM (4GB) that was announced by co-founder Carl Pei, himself.

This is amid other reports have been going around – in reference to 3 different listings by Bluetooth Special Interest Group that confirms the models: A2001, A2003 and A2005. All 3 were certified with a hardware version 2.2 and software version 2.01 for the newest Bluetooth 4.1 technology.

There seems to be an overlap and inconsistency in terms of these leaks but with only tomorrow’s morning away, we might as well wait it out and see if there’s any potential in the OnePlus 2 being the “2016 Flagship Killer”

Although, if you want to wait in anticipation tune into the play by play of the announcement, feel free to download the VR Launch app here, provided you have a VR Cardboard. If you don’t, OnePlus has provided a how-to DIY for your need-to watch needs.
