Want a flagship HTC without paying top dollar? The dual-SIM HTC One ME is here.

HTC”s current top of the line smart phone is the One M9+ which offers a 5.2″ Quad HD display and a 2.2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6795 processor for RM2,599. If you’re looking for something cheaper without much compromise, the HTC One ME might be your cup of tea.

Announced for the Chinese market, the One ME is now available in Malaysia via DirectD and this is a grey import unit which comes with 2 years in-house warranty. You get pretty much the same goods as the One M9+ but at RM700 less. This is similar story as the HTC One M8 and its cheaper HTC One E8 sibling.

To recap on the One ME, it gets the same 5.2″ Quad HD display, 2.2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek processor with 3GB RAM, 32GB of storage and it is also expandable with microSD up to 128GB (possibly up to 2TB). On the exterior, it is identical but it is slightly thicker at 9.75mm and lighter at 155 grams. This is due to its polycarbonate back but it still uses a metal frame around the sides for a subtle touch of premium.

Over at the front, you still get its stereo BoomSound speakers, a fingerprint sensor and a 4MP Ultrapixel front camera. Meanwhile at the back, it gets a 20MP main camera with dual-LED flash like its One M9, which is a single unit without the extra Duo Camera set up. Powering the device is still the same 2,840mAh capacity battery which is also non-removable. The One ME is a dual-SIM device using Nano-SIM and it also supports 4G LTE including our local Band 3/7.

If you’re interested, you can head over to DirectD’s HTC One ME page. It is available in Meteor Grey, Rose Gold & Gold Sepia colours.
