Samsung is trying to show the world that they could make a premium device. The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge finally gets a newer metal and glass design which is a departure from its old plasticky build. If spending RM3,599 for the 64GB version of the Galaxy S6 edge isn’t enough, the limited edition Galaxy S6 edge in Iron Man colours can now be bought in Malaysia.
You’ve probably seen the iPhone 6 Plus being sold at over RM7,000 by scalpers. Get ready, as the asking price for the S6 edge Iron Man edition will surprise you.
The Galaxy S6 edge Iron Man edition is sold only in selected markets such as China and South Korea. As usual, the folks at DirectD can let you own one of these rare units but only if you’re willing to pay the price. In South Korea with 1,000 units to go around, the Iron Man themed device is priced at 1.19 million Won which is slightly more than RM4,000. If you’re dying to buy one, DirectD can make it happen for RM10,999, with GST included of course.
You get the Galaxy S6 edge in a nice exclusive box and it comes with a wireless charger with Iron Man’s core reactor design on top. As for the device, the Galaxy S6 edge gets a stunning red colour body surrounded by a gold colour frame. Everything else in the phone is the same, and it also comes with 64GB of non-expandable storage on-board.
For some, RM10,999 could be a bargain considering a unit was auctioned off for about RM340,000 in China and that’s because of a double digit serial number 66. After all, this is a country with a growing wealthy population which a guy can afford to buy not one, but two Apple Watch editions for his dog.
If you’re interested and money is no object to you, head over to DirectD to pre-order yours. Sorry, JARVIS isn’t included.
