The Raspberry Pi finally has an official case

The Raspberry Pi just got a lot less naked, with the company finally releasing an official case for the popular mini PC.

For those not in the know, the Raspberry Pi is basically a tiny PC that’s a fraction of the size of a traditional desktop that’s extremely popular amongst the tinkering crowd. Generally the Raspberry Pi gets inserted into other projects (and as such would require customised cases built for it) but at least now the option for a case is available. The case is compatible with the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B or the Model B+ for the original Pi. It may not look like much but it goes a long way in keeping the Pi’s usually bare circuitry protected and it makes access to the ports a lot cleaner.

The add on case costs just $9 (about RM 33) so if you happen to be using it as a self contained machine, it’s well worth the price.
