ASUS expected to unveil its new ZenWatch and probably their new ZenPad at Computex

Computex is approaching fast and ASUS has already started sending out invites for the launch of the ZenWatch 2 in Taiwan during the ICT trade show.

The last few years have seen a lot of new things for ASUS, including new tablets, laptops and of course phones. This time, we are expecting not only the ZenWatch 2 but quite possibly their new ZenPad series of tablets as well.

The tablets in question are very likely to be the ZenPad 7 and the ZenPad 8, with the ZenPad 7 coming in two size options.

To recap the specs, the ZenPad 7 has an Intel Atom x3 processor with 1GB RAM with two storage options, 8GB and 16GB expandable storage. The tablet will feature a 7 inch IPS panel with a rather low 1024 x 600 resolution and will have both a WiFi only and 3G variant. The ZenPad 7 is expected to retail for about 139 Euro (about RM 562) for the WiFi version and 159 Euro (about RM 643) for the 3G version.

The ZenPad 8 on the other hand gets either an Atom Z3530 or Atom Z3560 processor mated to 2GB RAM, with a large 8 inch display at 2048 x 1536 resolution, similar to the iPad’s retina display. It will also have two storage variants that ranges from 8GB to 64GB. No word on the potential pricing for the ZenPad 8 as of yet or a Malaysian launch date but more will be revealed closer to launch.
