CONFIRMED: Xiaomi Mi 4i coming to Malaysia

If you’re looking for one of the best phones you can get for around RM800, you might want to wait until the end of this month because Xiaomi has just released an invite for the media to preview the phone on May 21. That means you can expect he Mi 4i to be avaiable for all you Malaysian Mi Fans sometime in the last week of May.

If you’ve been under a rock all this while, here’s a recap of what the Mi 4i brings to the table. The device features a 5-inch Full HD display, an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage, 13MP main camera and a super-large 3,120mAh battery. Spec for spec, the Mi 4i brings a lot for the money, making it the most advanced smart phone you can get for less than RM800.

In terms of pricing, the Mi 4i in Malaysia should be priced below RM800 considering the current markets are pricing it as follows:

Mi India – Rs. 12,999 (about RM729)
Mi Singapore – S$279 (about RM752)
Mi Hong Kong – HK$1599 (about RM743)

For less than RM800, it is hard to think of anything better that comes with a 5″ Full HD display, an all day battery and equipped with dual-SIMs supporting 4G LTE. Probably the only gripe is the lack of the microSD slot which they claim to have intentionally removed for better user experience.
