Samsung’s Gear A smartwatch might launch with the Galaxy Note 5

Heads up, Samsung’s round smartwatch is likely to be launched alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 at IFA this year, marking the official appearance of the Gear A.

The watch will be Samsung’s first round smartwatch and will also be the brand’s first wearable to use a rotating bezel ring to interact with the device. Other details about the smartwatch is that there will be two variants of the device, a crown shaped power button and wireless charging. It will also be running on Tizen and very likely one of Samsung’s Exynos chips as well.

Unfortunately, Samsung has never really stated when it will launch the Gear A, but since Samsung has a habit of launching it’s smartwatches alongside flagship devices there’s a fairly high chance it will either make it’s debut with the Note 5 or show up sometime later this year, as sources claim that the delays are for the sake of ensuring the product is not rushed in development.

Still, this is mostly hearsay and should be treated as such till more details about the watch surface.
