Sony announces the Xperia C4 and C4 Dual selfie smartphones

Originally nicknamed the Xperia Cosmos, Sony has finally lifted the lid on their latest selfie centric smartphone the Sony Xperia C4 and it’s sibling the Xperia C4 Dual.

The successor to the Sony Xperia C3, both phones are going to be pretty similar, sharing the same specs and form with the exception of the Xperia C4 Dual having dual SIM support.

The smartphones will sport a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MTK6752 CPU at 1.7GHz that’s mated to 2GB RAM, a 5.5 inch full HD IPS display with Sony’s BRAVIA tech and 16GB expandable memory. It will also have LTE support on top of a 2,600mAh battery as well as Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

As expected the Xperia C4 will be featuring a 13 megapixel rear camera alongside a 5 megapixel front camera, both of which have an LED flash as well as Autofocus and HDR modes. This is an upgrade from the Xperia C3’s 8 megapixel rear camera and they also sport a slightly larger battery as well as more RAM and double the internal storage.

No news of the price yet but the phones will be available in certain markets starting June 2015 and will come in White, Black and Mint (green) colour options.
