Not too long ago Samsung confirmed that it’s next Galaxy wearable would be marketed as the Galaxy Gear A, and now it looks like the smartwatch will be sporting a circular face. Originally codenamed the Orbis, the design of the new smartwatch is a departure from the angular designs that Samsung has been using all this time, perhaps in a move to further differentiate itself from the competition.
Other details about the smartwatch is that there will be two variants of the device, a rotating bezel ring, crown shaped power button and wireless charging. It will also be running on Tizen and very likely one of Samsung’s Exynos chips as well.
We still don’t have a real look at what the watch could be like yet, but it’s very likely to head down the same premium-wearable route as the Gear S.
