galaxy s6 teardown

Not too long ago the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge got a teardown and scored pretty badly in terms of repairability. Now it’s sibling the Galaxy S6 get’s picked apart by iFixit and as it turns out, it’s just slightly easier to fix than the S6 edge.

As it turns out, the insides of both phones share a lot in common, from the nasty amounts of internal adhesives to internals that are pretty much arranged almost 90% the same, meaning screen aside taking both apart would be similarly difficult, though removing the battery for the S6 was a lot easier. Unfortunately, like it’s sibling it would be very hard to replace both glass surfaces without destroying them in the process, and general efforts to get it open were still quite difficult.

You can check out the full teardown below.
