Acer Liquid Z410 smartphone now in Malaysia

Acer has just announced the newest member of the Liquid Z family in Malaysia, the Acer Liquid Z410 budget smartphone. This entry-level 64-bit 4G LTE smart phone was announced during CES 2015 in January this year.

Under the hood, you’ll find a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6732 processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB of extendable storage, f/2.4 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front snapper. The phone also has a 4.5 inch IPS display that pushes a modest 960×540 resolution. Powering the device is a 2,000mAh battery and it runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box.

The phone also sports the customiseable AcerRAPID button out back, which can also be used to take group selfies and users who want easy connectivity with their notebooks to share and transfer files and information, there’s the Acer Extend function that lets you drag and drop files to copy.

The phone itself has a slightly curved design and is only 9.9mm thin, weighing in at 145g which is not bad for a budget smartphone. The smartphone will retail for RM459, which is inclusive of GST and will be available in Berry Black as well as a 1 year local warranty.

The Liquid Z410 will also have dual sim 4G LTE capabilities as well as Acer’s UI which they claim has customised profiles and UI for “users aged 7 to 70”. As far as price is concerned, it looks like you’re getting what you pay for, and there’s no confirmation if it is getting Lollipop any time soon. For this price range, it is pretty competitive and it faces the 4.7″ Redmi 2 that’s priced at RM10 less.
