Microsoft Lumia 430 – Their most affordable Windows Phone right now

Going for the emerging markets, Microsoft has announced its new Lumia 430 that’s priced at only US$70 (about RM260). This is currently their most affordable Windows device and it also supports dual SIMs with 3G HSPA+ connectivity.

On paper, the Lumia 430 is hardly any different from the Lumia 435 that was announced recently. It has a 4″ display that does a modest 800×480 pixels resolution and runs on a 1.2GHz Dual-Core Snapdragon 200 processor. Also included is 1GB of RAM and 8GB of on-board storage which you can expand up to 128GB extra with microSD.

For taking pictures, it gets a low 2MP main camera and a basic VGA front unit. The only differences if you look hard enough includes the battery, which is a slightly smaller 1,500mAh capacity unit (Lumia 435: 1,560mAh), lighter overall weight (Lumia 430: 127.9g Lumia 435: 134.1g) and a thinner side profile (Lumia 430: 10.6mm, Lumia 435: 11.7mm).

Out of the box, it runs on Windows 8.1 with the latest Lumia Denim Update, but you can also expect it to be upgraded to the latest Windows 10 once it is available by end of this year. The Lumia 430 is only available in either Black or Orange and it will hit the shelves in Asia Pacific sometime in April.
