HTC One M9 goes on sale next month in the US. When is it coming to Malaysia?

If you didn’t catch HTC’s Big announcement, you didn’t really miss that much. The HTC One M9 will be released in the US starting on 10th April, which is the same time as its main rival, the Galaxy S6.

Also announced was its new HTC Uh-oh, which is basically a device protection service that’s better than its previous HTC Advantage. It is offered currently for the US market and it gives you a free replacement if you damage your One M9 from drops and even water damage within the first 12 month. If didn’t make any replacement claim after 12 months, HTC will give you US$100 rebate for your next HTC One flagship purchase.

According to HTC based on a survey, 69% of participants have claimed to have damaged their smart phone in the past 12 months and nearly half of them spent more than US$100 for repairs. So overall, this new Uh-oh proposition is something worthwhile having.

So the biggest question is when is the HTC One M9 coming to Malaysia? The global roll out of the flagship seems to be staggered and according to some sources, you might need to wait at least until May for it to arrive officially in Malaysia. If you’re in the market for a new smart phone, is the HTC One M9 waiting for or would you rather get the Galaxy S6 instead?
