Maxis offers the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3V on contract

The budget Samsung Galaxy Tab 3V tablet with telephony features is now available on contract with Maxis. For those who prefer to commit less on monthly fees, the Galaxy Tab 3V is offered only with its SurfMore 50 plan that comes with 2GB of data at RM50/month. The plan also support calls but they are charged based on per usage basis. With a 24 months contract duration, the tablet can be yours at RM239, instead of the usual RM499 retail price tag.

During sign up, Maxis requires an upfront payment of RM300, which will be rebated back to your monthly bills. Spec wise, the Galaxy Tab 3V is quite an entry-level device with a 7″ WSVGA display (1024×600) and it runs on a 1.3GHz Quad-Core processor with 1GB of RAM. On-board there’s 8GB of storage which is expandable with microSD.

For taking pictures, the spec sheet from Maxis lists 2MP cameras for both front and back. Connectivity wise, it supports only 3G HSPA+ and juicing up the tab is a 3,600mAh capacity battery.
