The BlackBerry Classic, a new phone with old-school BlackBerry Bold styling is officially priced at RM1,588 in Malaysia. If you’re interested to get one, Celcom will be offering it exclusively on their network very soon.
In the mean time, they have started their usual practice of registration of interest so that you’ll be the among the first to know about their plans and availability. On top of that, they are giving a unit or an Urbanear headset for free if you provide them with an email list of your 10 friends that might be interested.
To recap on the specs, the BlackBerry Classic features a 3.5″ 720×720 display which is accompanied by the physical buttons and trackpad that’s synonymous with its original BlackBerry Bold. Powering the device is a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage that are similar with its earlier BlackBerry Z10 and Q10 smart phones. Compared to the previous BlackBerry Bold 9900, the new Classic model offers 60% more display, 50% more battery life and 3X faster web browsing.
