Celcom, which seems to be the flag bearer of BlackBerry devices in Malaysia is going to offer the new Classic model very soon. They have just posted a teaser and it indicates that the new QWERTY device will be available exclusively on their network. Like their flagship BlackBerry Passport, we expect Celcom to bundle it with their usual Celcom First plans.
The BlackBerry Classic was just announced recently and it offers the familiar BlackBerry Bold form factor on top of its BlackBerry 10.3.1 OS. It features a 3.5″ 720×720 display and it runs on a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB of storage that’s similar to its earlier BlackBerry Q10 QWERTY smart phone. According to BlackBerry, the new Classic offers 60% more display, 50% more battery life and 3X faster web browser performance than the earlier BlackBerry Bold 9900.
