The YotaPhone is an interesting proposition with a typical smart phone on one side and an e-reader screen on the other. The newer YotaPhone 2 which was shown at MWC 2014 will be finally launched in London next month on 3rd December.
The YotaPhone 2 gets better specs which includes a 5″ Full HD AMOLED display and it runs on a higher-spec Quad-Core Snapdragon 800 processor. Meanwhile the e-ink screen on the back is now touch enabled and it is larger too at 4.7″. Since it is almost a year since we last saw it, hopefully Yota Devices would update the device with newer hardware. You can check out our hands-on with the YotaPhone 2 over here.
In Malaysia, we recently have gotten the first gen YotaPhone which is priced at RM1,699. Not sure how long will it take for our local distributors to bring the YotaPhone 2 to our shores.
