Mi Singapore has officially announced that its first ever 4G smart phone, the Redmi Note 4G will be available starting next week, 17th November 2014. It is priced at SG$229 which is RM592 when converted directly. The dual-sim Redmi Note which was priced at SG$199 (about RM514) has been discontinued from their site.
The Redmi Note 4G is similar with its current Redmi Note in size but it runs on a Qualcomm Quad-Core Snapdragon 400 processor with single-SIM instead of an Octa-Core MediaTek powerhouse with support of dual 3G SIMs. They are also running a F-Core giveaway contest with a chance to win a Redmi Note 4G for free.
To recap on the specs, the Redmi Note 4G still gets a 5.5″ HD 720p display, a 13MP main camera as well as a 5MP front shooter. The battery is a 3,100mAh unit which is slightly lighter by 10g than its dual-SIM model. The Snapdragon 400 processor has 4 cores clocked at 1.6GHz and it is also mated with 2GB of RAM.
Next question is when is Malaysia’s turn? The Redmi Note 4G with the model number 2014715 was already spotted in our SIRIM database along with its Mi Wireless Router last month.
