Microsoft Devices officially launches the Lumia 830 and Lumia 735 in Malaysia

The latest Lumia 830 and Lumia 735 are officially launched in Malaysia today. Announced during IFA 2014, the Lumia 830 is their affordable flagship that’s priced at RM1399. Meanwhile its Lumia 735 is their answer for the current selfie trend and it is priced at RM999. As an early bird promo, they are giving out Microsoft Office 365 Home Premium for the first 500 Lumia 830 buyers.

Both devices are available starting 3rd October and they run on the latest Lumia Denim Update (Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1). Also launched today is GSC’s official Windows Phone app which will be available next month.

Nokia Lumia 830

The Lumia 830 is positioned below its current Lumia 930 flagship and it features a 5″ IPS HD 720p display. Underneath, it gets a Quad-Core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor that’s mated to 1GB of RAM and has 16GB of storage which can be expanded via microSD up to 128GB.

The main highlight of course is its PureView camera which stands out with its black colour module at the rear. It is a 10MP shooter but is enhanced with Optical Image Stabilisation and ZEISS Optics. Meanwhile the front gets a 1.1MP camera for Selfie shots. With the latest Denim update, the Lumia 830 is capable of shooting 4K resolution videos at 24fps.

On-board it gets a 2,200mAh capacity battery, giving it a thickness of 8.5mm and it weighs 150g. It is thinner and lighter than the Lumia 930.

Nokia Lumia 735

For those love taking selfies, the Lumia 735 packs a larger 5MP f/2.4 camera at the front and it gets a slightly smaller 4.7″ HD 720p OLED display. Like the Lumia 830, it runs on a 1.2GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM but the storage is smaller with 8GB capacity. For better Selfies, the Lumia 735 comes packed with Selfies features including make up and filters.

Meanwhile for normal shots, the main camera is a 6.7MP unit with Zeiss Optics that boast great low light performance thanks to its f/1.9 aperture. On board, it gets a 2,220mAh capacity battery and it weighs 134.3 grams with a thickness of 8.9mm. Unlike the Lumia 730, this is the single SIM version but it supports 4G LTE.
