Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to be available in 140 countries by end of next month

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 which was announced earlier this month will be available across 140 countries by end of October. In its home market South Korea, the Galaxy Note 4 will be available starting this Friday, 26th September.

For Malaysia, we can expect the device to be announced very soon as it has already passed its necessary certifications with SIRIM. The Galaxy Note 4 is available in 2 variants – an Octa-Core Exynos 5433 model with Cat 4 4G LTE and a Quad-Core Snapdragon 805 version with support for faster Cat 6 4G LTE. Based on SIRIM’s database listing, we are getting the Exynos 5433 version which is seen to have a better performance and possibly better battery life between the two.

To recap its specs, the Galaxy Note 4 comes with a 5.7″ Quad HD Super AMOLED display. Like its predecessor, it gets 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage which lets you insert microSD up to 128GB capacity. Build quality is much improved with a metallic frame and the cameras have been bumped up with 16MP rear camera with OIS and a larger front facing 3.7MP camera for better selfies.

The battery capacity is pretty much the same with a slightly larger 3,220mAh capacity unit which gives it a total weight of 176g. The S-Pen which is its signature feature has been improved with doubled the pressure sensitivity and it is improved with more stylus feature. You can see how does it compare against the latest iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in our earlier post. You can find out what we think of the Galaxy Note 4 in our first impressions post.

Outside of Korea, the Galaxy Note 4 will be available in the UK on 10th October followed by the US on 17th October. That could be a rough indication of our Malaysian availability.
