iOS 8 update rolls out on 17th September

During the announcement of the latest iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Apple mentioned that the latest iOS 8 will be rolled out starting next Wednesday 17th September. This offers quite a significant update over the current iOS 7.1.2.

With the latest mobile operating system update, iOS 8 introduces several new features including a continuity across Apple’s family of products including the iPhone, iPad and the Mac. Also new is the support for 3rd party keyboards such as Swype and SwiftKey, and they have also revamped most of its native apps including Siri, Mail, Photos and Safari. In terms of compatibility, the iOS 8 will be available on iPhone 4S and above, as well as iPad 2 and above. The iPod Touch 5th gen will be supported as well. Be sure to back up your device on iCloud before you update.
