Samsung to Unpack its Galaxy Note 4 on 3rd September

The next big thing from Samsung, the Galaxy Note 4 is going to be revealed a month from now at the upcoming IFA 2014 in Berlin. This comes shortly after its expected premium Galaxy Alpha takes centre stage sometime next week.

The Galaxy Note 4 is expected to bring Quad HD display onto a phablet form factor on the same 5.7″ sized screen. Powering the new beast is a newer Snapdragon 805 or Exynos 5433 processor that’s mated to 3GB of RAM. Additional rumours also suggest an improved 16MP camera with Optical Image Stabilisation and for the first time, possibly a UV Sensor on a smart phone.

Samsung is still the number 1 smart phone maker but it is starting to feel a pinch coming from the Chinese makers like Xiaomi. With the iPhone 6 expected in the coming months, Samsung is expected to counter the effects with the Galaxy Alpha that uses premium materials while the Galaxy Note 4 is to propel itself as the ultimate flagship device before the year is out.

The Galaxy Note 4 Unpacked event is happening at 2PM which is about 8PM Malaysian time on 3rd September. Like previous Unpacked events, you can count on Samsung to broadcast the event live on Youtube.
