Redmi Note goes on sale this Tuesday with 5,000 units

Xiaomi Malaysia will start selling its 5.5″ Redmi Note beginning this coming Tuesday, 22nd July at 12PM. The affordable mid-tier phablet is priced at RM509 and Xiaomi will be stocking up a total of 5,000 units for next week. If you guessed the price correctly, Xiaomi has sent out F-codes which lets you purchase a unit without the hassle of rushing in at 12PM. You can view the full list of eligible winners here.

To recap on the specs, the Redmi Note that we are getting here is the high-spec version with a MediaTek 1.7GHz Octa-Core processor with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. The front gets a 5.5″ HD 720p IPS display and a 5MP camera while the back gets a 13MP camera. Complimenting its huge display is a large removable 3,200mAh battery which is similar capacity as the Xperia Z2 and Galaxy Note 3. To spot the difference with other Xiaomi smart phones, you can refer to our spec comparison over here.

For the upcoming sale, its flagship Mi 3 and Redmi 1S are taking a break this round. However its power bank will be restocked with its usual 10,000 units of 10,400mAh version and 5,000 units of its smaller 5,200mAh unit. Remember to login at www.mi.com/my early before noon next Tuesday.
