It has been rumoured for quite some time now that Samsung is working on a high-end version of its Galaxy S5 that’s speculated to be called as the Galaxy S5 Prime or Galaxy F series. Serial leaker @Evleaks has just posted what claims to be the new Galaxy F which promises a more uprated build than its current flagship model.
The design while appears to be similar to the Galaxy S5 comes with a premium looking brushed metal back cover which is somewhat similar to its previous Samsung ATIV S. Even the edges look more refined with a smooth surface without additional lines. Like any Samsung smart phones, we expect the back cover to be removable as well.
In terms of specs, the Galaxy F is alleged to have a bigger 5.2″ display that does a higher Quad-HD resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. Powering the device is said to be a newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and support for faster LTE up to 225Mbps.
Samsung is having a big launch next week but it is likely that they are launching the Galaxy F much later at a separate event. Now @Evleaks is speculating a September release which is quite close to the upcoming Galaxy Note 4 launch that’s happening in Q4. If all these chatter are true, this would definitely challenge the LG G3 in both specs and build quality.
