Huawei will be launching a couple of new smart phones and tablets in Malaysia next week including its flagship Ascend P7 smart phone. Now its pricing has been revealed through online retailer IPMart.
The Huawei Ascend P7 is listed at RM1,499 while its 7″ MediaPad X1 premium tablet is priced at RM1,399. Its bigger Honor 3X with a 5.5″ display and dual-SIM slots is also available too at RM1,099. On IPMart, they are giving additional discounts up to RM186. At time of writing, both Ascend P7 and Honor 3X are in stock while the MediaPad X1 is open for pre-orders.
To recap on the specs, the Ascend P7 is Huawei’s top of the line smart phone with a 5″ Full HD display that’s running on a Quad-Core 1.8GHz processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. It is encased with premium materials and has a thickness of just 6.5mm. For photography, it gets a 8MP front facing camera which claims to offer the world’s first panorama Selfie feature. You can read more about the Ascend P7 specs and features in our earlier post here.
Meanwhile the MediaPad X1 is a high-end 7″ tablet that’s light and compact to hold in a single hand. The front 7″ display is a Full HD IPS unit and is powered by a Quad-Core 1.6GHz processor with 2GB of RAM. Despite being a tablet, it offers a 13MP rear camera, a front facing 5MP camera and it even lets you make phone calls with an speaker at the top. You can check out our hands-on experience with the MediaPad X1 over here.
Last but not least, the Honor 3X is a bigger brother of its current cheap and cheerful Honor 3C. The device is much larger with a 5.5″ HD 720p display and it runs on MediaTek’s 1.7GHz Octa-Core processor. The spec list continues with 2GB RAM, 16GB of storage which is expandable up to 64GB microSD and it supports dual-SIM. For imaging, it packs a 13MP rear camera while Selfie shots are taken with its 5MP unit. The battery on the Honor 3X is bigger too at 3,000mAh and overall this looks like a competitor to Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi Note.
Apart from these 3, Huawei is expected to launch its MediaPad M1 tablet, Ascend G6 and its TalkBand B1 sports band. The event is happening on 10th of June and Huawei is running a contest where they are giving out 17 units of its Ascend P7 smart phone.
