Apart from launching its new tablets and convergence devices, ASUS has also refreshed its ZenFone 5 with better hardware and support for faster 4G LTE connectivity. On the exterior it looks pretty much the same as the Intel based ASUS ZenFone 5 with Dual-SIM slots.
While it gets the same 5″ 720p HD display, the refreshed ZenFone 5 runs on a 1.2GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 2GB of RAM and a choice of either 16GB or 32GB of on-board storage. It gets a slightly larger 2,110mAh capacity battery and also gets a microSD expansion slot. During a hands-on at Computex, the ZenFone 5 is already running on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat with its ZenUI. The rest of the specs should remain unchanged with a 8MP main camera and a front facing 2MP unit. Of course, the specs would likely to vary depending on markets and there’s no indication when the 4G LTE version would arrive in Malaysia.
Check out the hands-on video of the device by MobileGeeks after the break.
