Huawei MediaPad M1 and Ascend G6 teased for Malaysian launch on 10th June

It appears that Huawei will be launching a barrage of new devices at their upcoming 10th June event. Now Huawei has teased 2 more device – the MediaPad M1 tablet and a mid-spec Ascend G6 smart phone which were announced during MWC 2014. This brings a total of 5 new Huawei devices or probably more if they decide to tease more in the next couple of days.

The MediaPad M1 is their 8″ Android tablet which comes with a pair of front facing stereo speakers. In terms of specs, it is a notch down from its compact MediaPad X1 with a modest 1280×800 resolution display, 1.6GHz Quad-Core processor and 1GB of RAM. You can check out our hands-on with the MediaPad M1 here.

Next is the Ascend G6 which is a 4.5″ smart phone with mid-spec internals. The front gets a qHD IPS display that does 960×540 pixels resolution and has a 5MP camera for better Selfie pictures. Underneath it runs on a Quad-Core 1.2GHz Qualcomm processor with 1GB of RAM. Depending on which model we are getting, the 4G version gets 8GB of on-board storage while the 3G version gets 4GB of capacity. If more storage is needed, it is expandable with microSD card.

At the back, it gets a 8MP camera and packs a 2,000mAh capacity battery. While it isn’t as thin as its Ascend P7 flagship, the G6 is still incredibly slim at 7.5mm for the 3G version while the 4G unit is slightly thicker at 7.85mm. You can check out the specs of the Ascend G6 and Ascend G6 4G over at Huawei’s product site.
