The record for the world’s fastest texting on a smart phone has been broken with Fleksy Keyboard in just 18.19 seconds. The previous record was set a while ago with Windows Phone 8.1’s WordFlow keyboard was a little bit slower at 18.44 seconds.
Here’s the interesting bit. In the previous texting records, swiping or gesture typing are thought to be the fastest way to type as you glide your fingers on the screen instead of tapping on individual keys. The latest world record however was achieved by actual tapping of keys on the Fleksy keyboard.
This was made possible by its unique geometric intelligence based feature which predicts taps more accurately even if you’re the sloppy type or simply not looking at the screen at all. There’s even an option to make the keyboard invisible so that you can view your screen fully without being obstructed by the keyboard.
The man behind the new record is Marcel Fernandes who has been a long time Fleksy user. Like previous records, the required phrase was:
