This is how Internet Lag is Experienced in Real Life

Internet lag can be annoying especially when you’re streaming videos or gaming online. To promote Sweden’s Ume.Net 1Gbps Fibre Broadband service, they have created a video highlighting the frustrations of lag if it was experienced in real life. To demonstrate this, they have induced 3 seconds lag with an Oculus Rift that’s hooked up with a wireless camera. 3 seconds is a lot considering the standard lag through its wireless set up is about 0.3 seconds.

The resulting video is hilarious especially when the live feed is intentionally set to buffer while the subject was focusing on something. With Ume.net’s 1Gbps offering, they are reminding users why should they accept lag online if they can’t even live with it offline. Check out both videos after the break.
