JUMPR Battery Pack that’s powerful enough to jump start a dead car

UPDATE: It appears that we can get a similar product in Malaysia. A 12,000mAh unit is going for RM229 at Lelong. Thanks @Syaquan for the heads up!

A Battery Pack is often a lifesaver for your power hungry smart phones and tablets. Now there’s a one that car owners might want to consider buying. The JUMPR by Junopower looks like a standard battery pack with a 6,000mAh capacity but it doubles up as a portable jump starter for your car. At 15mm thick, it is quite compact and weighs just 198 grams.

The JUMPR comes with 2 output – the first one being a standard 5V with 2.1Amp to charge up your phones and tablets while the second output pushes 12V at 150-350Amp. To jump start a car, they have included a special jumper cable adapter that hooks up safely to the JUMPR battery pack. According to JunoPower, its 300Amp output is enough to jump start a typical 4 or 6 cylinder vehicle. In case you need to jump start in the dark, it even comes with an embedded LED flash light as well. Charging up the JUMPR Battery Pack is easily done through micro USB and they have included a cable and a 12V car cigarette port charger.

Not a bad emergency accessory and it makes the perfect gift for those who often drained their car batteries accidentally. It is currently on sale at a promo price of US$69.99 (about RM229) but too bad it is only available in the US, UK and Canada.

Check out the video demos and more images of JUMPR after the break.
