The newly announced OnePlus One packs quite a lot under RM1,000. To find out how it stacks up with today’s flagship smart phones, we’ve compared the dimensions and hardware specs of the OnePlus One, HTC One M8, Samsung Galaxy S5, Sony Xperia Z2 and its closest rival the Oppo Find 7.

In terms of performance, the OnePlus one trumps the mainstream models like the One M8, Galaxy S5 and Xperia Z2 with its high-end 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor and 3GB of RAM instead of just 2GB. The only device on par is the Find 7 High-end version which comes with the same set up but it edges in the display department which does Quad HD resolution and pushes ultra high density of 538ppi.

Dimension wise, the OnePlus One isn’t the slimmest of the lot but it is the lightest for a 5.5″ smart phone at just 162 grams. At just 2grams heavier than the HTC One M8, it is quite a feat considering it packs a larger 3,100mAh battery. When compared to the Oppo Find 7, it is thinner but slightly taller and wider in width. The only shortfall of the OnePlus One is the display which settles for just Full HD resolution which pushes a density of 401 ppi.
