The 3 year old iPad 2 is officially retired from Apple’s Online Store. Taking its place is the newer 4th generation iPad with Retina display which retains the same entry level price of RM1,199 for 16GB WiFi and RM1,599 for 16GB WiFi + Cellular model.
Those who are in the market to buy the first generation iPad mini would probably be better off topping up additional RM250 for a better Retina Display and faster A6X processor. As comparison, the iPad mini is priced at from RM949 for 16GB WiFi and RM1,379 for 16GB WiFi + Cellular. If you’re interested, you can check out Apple’s Online Store here.
As for the new affordable iPhone 5C, there’s still no signs of its 8GB version. If it’s available here, we are likely to see a RM300-400 cheaper price tag than the current 16GB iPhone 5C that’s currently priced at RM1,999.
We hope nobody had ordered an iPad 2 in the past few weeks.
